The British government intends to extend the recognition of CE marks of most goods in the British market indefinitely after December 2024. This update applies to 18 regulations under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Commerce and Trade (DBT). The product categories involved include:

This extension will provide enterprises with the flexible choice of using UKCA or CE to sell products in the UK, which means that products with CE mark will still be recognized in the UK market within the specified time limit, and there is no need for additional certification according to British regulations.
